The Sundering Gods
Legend has it that the Barrowlands, which is part of the Delquari mountain range, is the remains of the Titan Father. That each quake is the titan breathing, gaining life slowly, and every river that runs anew is the blood from his skin tearing. Every tree that sprouts is his hair returning after millennia. Especially now with the departure of the Gods, for Delquari was old when the Gods were young.
The Barrowlands are part of the Delquari Mountain Range, where the Elves now call home. When the world was born, and the Gods still have not found a name for themselves, the land was carved and created by nomadic titans, of these was Delquari the Overseer. The father of the titans and the stone; when his work was done he sent his sons to other reaches of the universe to forge new lands as they did here. Delquari however was far too tired and old to continue on, so he lay down to rest and die with time, making what is now known as the Delquari Mountains. So the legend goes that the early Gods found his body and attempted to raise the earth to bury him, yet they failed in this task for he was too large and it strained these young Gods, thus leaving the remaining to be the mountain range it is today. The Delquari Mountain range is by far the largest range in the world, piercing clouds; its peak reaches the sky. Over time the Elven tribes carved out their homes and settled into these mountain ranges, this way they were able to watch over all Belforia, for they considered themselves guardians of the land.
